glad they're all okay! And that they didn't just book. That's one good thing about mice - they tend to freeze when scared rather than running away. I assume that's because their more natural predators - raptors - can often hear a mouse moving under a foot of snow from hundreds of feet away (for example - that's what many owls do), and so running actually offers less defense against flying predators than freezing does, since their eyes are not as good as their ears.
