So what people in folk music do you find the hottest? I'll start the ball rolling with Aoife O'Donovan of Crooked Still, Maura Kennedy of the Kennedys, and Natalie MacMaster. Am I being stupid posting this someplace searchable? Maura and Aoife know me. Even worse Pete knows me. :-)

Lucy Kaplansky is, especially since at FR she had just had a baby. Susan Werner looks pretty nice in the naked folk calendar. Sorry Pete is not hot! :-)

A discussion of the Naked Folk calendar on lj is what inspired this forum. Susan Werner won the 2006 Suzanne Vega award for looking surprisingly good naked.

I haven't seen the Paperboys since the last time they were at FRFF, which has been a couple years--what happened to Shannon? (in keeping with the theme of the forum, she was pretty hot, too.)

Yes she was. I was sorry she left too. I guess she got tired of the constant touring, life on the road and wanted to be closer to home.
She has her own band apparently called Shannon Saunders and the Splinters

I haven't seen them either. They don't tour much in the Northeast U.S. Mostly they tour the Northwestern U.S. and Canada. They do have a new cd out called "The Road to Ellenville". I really liked their last cd Dilapidated Beauty alot.
They have been trying to play FR again but haven't had any luck.

oh, that's sad about FR--I ALWAYS put them down on my survey, so it's not for want of trying on my part, that's for sure. I guess it's challenging/expensive for them to travel out eastward, but I miss seeing them. I'll have to look out for their new CD.
