Reviews:

bee:

sloan is awesome! the songs snowsuit sound and chester the molester rock! if you haven't heard them already, you need to check them out.

Kat Kunz:

more beatles-y pop / rock, with fabulous harmonization & catchy tunes.

these guys are great--i highly recommend their newest, Between the Bridges, a concept album on the travails of a touring band. they begin as your average rock quartet... but with various members taking turns on lead, their superfantastic harmonies, and the fact that they just *rock*--they quickly become something more than average. i, ah, hear they put on a good live show, too.

Mike "Racer" Yoshioka:

I agree, they've got some catchy licks

I mean, they're used in a canadian beer commercial. They've got to be catchy, right? ;)

sarah newhouse:

the coolest band i know -- aside from fruvous. ;)

amy newhouse:

silly guys

yeah sloan

Josh Drury:

Fantastic rock-pop

Can't say enough good stuff about these Haligonians. Great songwriters (all four of them), with the musical chops to pull it off, and distinctive vocals and harmonies that give their songs that signature Sloan sound. Live, they're reminiscent of a garage band, but a damn fine one. Check em' out if you can.

chris q murphy:

i don't think i have a choice

seeing as my name is chris murphy, and one of the guys in sloan is named chris murphy, i simply MUST comment here. biographically i know precious little abou this band, but it hasnt stopped me from latching onto the 'A.M. rock' party found on 'between the bridges'... poppy as hell!!! rock on fellow chris murphy!!!
