(Jul 23, 2001 @ 11:01am) «Misch» get home, check it, coolant is gone. (Jul 23, 2001 @ 11:02am) «goovie is married!» "we *said* 'meh.'" "m-e-h." :) (Jul 23, 2001 @ 11:02am) «dave "buh"» someone stole your coolant?? (Jul 23, 2001 @ 11:02am) «Misch» Replace coolant on Saturday... by sunday, the colant is below the "fill" line. (Jul 23, 2001 @ 11:02am) «goovie is married!» gordon: no, today is victrola francesco day. don't you dare steal her spotlight :) (Jul 23, 2001 @ 11:02am) «Misch» take it in to be serviced... leaky water pump... also, fried the thermostat. $400 in repairs. (Jul 23, 2001 @ 11:03am) «Misch» (They didn't get to look at it until this morning. I think it's okay, because I can just ride my bike in to work, right? (Jul 23, 2001 @ 11:03am) «Misch» So, I'm riding into work... at the halfway point, *snap* my chain breaks. (Jul 23, 2001 @ 11:04am) «Gordondon son of Ethelred» Sorry Carey. I'm going to hell (Jul 23, 2001 @ 11:04am) «Misch» http://www.stormii.com/Wavs/monsucks.wav (Jul 23, 2001 @ 11:04am) «John J. Ryan» I had that in my old Cadillac, the water pump leaked big time, and there was water everywhere, engine overheated (Jul 23, 2001 @ 11:04am) «Misch» So, instead of a nice 40 minute bike ride, I end up with an hour and 10 minute walk. I have no car , thankfully a cow orker will give me a ride to pick up car (Jul 23, 2001 @ 11:05am) «Gordondon son of Ethelred» John you are in the frff group now. (Jul 23, 2001 @ 11:06am) «goovie is married!» gordon: amen. we're both in the front of the bus with rt (Jul 23, 2001 @ 11:08am) «Misch» *sigh* I'll have to take the bike in on Tuesday... I have to shop on Wednesday for FRFF. (Jul 23, 2001 @ 11:08am) «Gordondon son of Ethelred» What are you shopping for? (Jul 23, 2001 @ 11:09am) «I had Matt Spare's baby!» /me did all her frff shopping this weekend. I'm all bug spray/sunblock/lightstick/tap lighted out. :) Just a few more last minute things to get. (Jul 23, 2001 @ 11:14am) «goovie is married!» /me would have taken care of all that this weekend, were it not for some creep's bday :) (Jul 23, 2001 @ 11:15am) «Gordondon son of Ethelred» /me kisses the hand of Shannon (Jul 23, 2001 @ 11:16am) «I had Matt Spare's baby!» Hey carey: better brush up on your contra dancing skills... I hear that the Expert Contra Dancing is going on while Jian's playing. *grin* (Jul 23, 2001 @ 11:16am) «Gordondon son of Ethelred» /me Creep who just had a birthday (Jul 23, 2001 @ 11:16am) «I had Matt Spare's baby!» thank you, Gordon. How are you feeling? (Jul 23, 2001 @ 11:16am) «Gordondon son of Ethelred» Pretty good. (Jul 23, 2001 @ 11:17am) «Gordondon son of Ethelred» I'll be doing the beginner Contradancing. (Jul 23, 2001 @ 11:17am) «I had Matt Spare's baby!» Glad to hear it. :) I'll be at dancin' at some point, I'm sure. (Jul 23, 2001 @ 11:17am) «Gordondon son of Ethelred» They made it a rule at frff this year that everyone has to dress like Hedwig right? (Jul 23, 2001 @ 11:20am) «I had Matt Spare's baby!» /me has no idea who that is... so she won't be dressing like him. (Jul 23, 2001 @ 11:20am) «goovie is married!» yeah, neal and i will be trying to contradance this year...should be interesting :) (Jul 23, 2001 @ 11:22am) «Gordondon son of Ethelred» Carey is Hedwig a him or a her? (Jul 23, 2001 @ 11:22am) «goovie is married!» gordon: yeah, it's the falconridge glam festival this year. try and tear it down :) (Jul 23, 2001 @ 11:22am) «Gordondon son of Ethelred» www.hedwigmovie.com (Jul 23, 2001 @ 11:22am) «goovie is married!» good question :) (Jul 23, 2001 @ 11:23am) «Gordondon son of Ethelred» grrr. I can't get the sound on my computer working. something weird happened (Jul 23, 2001 @ 11:24am) «I had Matt Spare's baby!» When all else fails, reboot. :. (Jul 23, 2001 @ 11:24am) «Gordondon son of Ethelred» That is what I might end up doing. Or just live without sound for now. (Jul 23, 2001 @ 11:25am) «Gordondon son of Ethelred» woo woo woo. (Jul 23, 2001 @ 11:25am) «Rob Balder» I can't believe what a concert weekend I had. (Jul 23, 2001 @ 11:26am) «I had Matt Spare's baby!» I can't live without sound on a puter. Especially if its making that *tick* *tick* *tick* noise from the cpu. (Jul 23, 2001 @ 11:26am) «Gordondon son of Ethelred» who'd you see? (Jul 23, 2001 @ 11:26am) «Rob Balder» Brian Wilson/Paul Simon on Sat, the Monkees on Sun (Jul 23, 2001 @ 11:26am) «Gordondon son of Ethelred» I just get mad I can't hear IMs (Jul 23, 2001 @ 11:27am) «goovie is married!» ooooh. i considered going to wolf trap for the monkees :) (Jul 23, 2001 @ 11:27am) «Gordondon son of Ethelred» actually I better get going. (Jul 23, 2001 @ 11:27am) «Gordondon son of Ethelred» bye fair wallers (Jul 23, 2001 @ 11:27am) «I had Matt Spare's baby!» bye gordon (Jul 23, 2001 @ 11:28am) «I had Matt Spare's baby!» *blink* the monkees are touring?!? (Jul 23, 2001 @ 11:28am) «Rob Balder» The Monkees were okay...high energy and the crowd was really into it...but a lot of their on-stage stuff seemed contrived and hokie (Jul 23, 2001 @ 11:28am) «I had Matt Spare's baby!» isnt that what they're all about? (Jul 23, 2001 @ 11:29am) «Rob Balder» I mean the songs were all great. But they were trying to do physical comedy and it looked a little like a clown school rehearsal. (Jul 23, 2001 @ 11:29am) «Rob Balder» That's what my friends said. (Jul 23, 2001 @ 11:29am) «Rob Balder» But I was a big fan of the TV show and their shtick was not up to that level. (Jul 23, 2001 @ 11:29am) «Rob Balder» A lot of the gags on the TV show were really surreal and clever (Jul 23, 2001 @ 11:30am) «goovie is married!» yeah...i've seen davy solo a few times, and it can be kind of painful (Jul 23, 2001 @ 11:30am) «goovie is married!» he didn't expose his breasts, did he? (Jul 23, 2001 @ 11:30am) «Rob Balder» Yes Davy was the biggest offender in the ham department. (Jul 23, 2001 @ 11:31am) «goovie is married!» of course, on the tv show, they also had writers working for them... (Jul 23, 2001 @ 11:31am) «Rob Balder» No. He was in a black coat.. A little like a ringmaster. (Jul 23, 2001 @ 11:31am) «I had Matt Spare's baby!» were they all there? or sans nesmith again? (Jul 23, 2001 @ 11:31am) «Rob Balder» Yeah Nesmith was not there. So I guess I really saw the nkees. (Jul 23, 2001 @ 11:32am) «goovie is married!» heeheehee. peter is really good live, from what i've seen. you really get to find out what a good musician he was (Jul 23, 2001 @ 11:32am) «goovie is married!» hmm. better than the bizarre aluminum foil-like outfit he wore on the teen idols tour, anyway... (Jul 23, 2001 @ 11:32am) «Rob Balder» Yes he is, for a Monkee. He did a Bach invention and played guitar on "Lucille" (Jul 23, 2001 @ 11:33am) «Rob Balder» The problem was, they had all of their backup musicians there. Any time one of them was playing, someone was backing them up. (Jul 23, 2001 @ 11:35am) «Rob Balder» It was very easy for a cynic such as myself to believe that they were barely playing at all. (Jul 23, 2001 @ 11:35am) «Rob Balder» Especially when they did that as a gag...and this is a good example of what I mean about their stage antics -- (Jul 23, 2001 @ 11:36am) «Rob Balder» Peter is playing guitar on one side of the stage, while Davy pantomimes a "conspiracy" with the sax player. He sends her offstage to play while he takes (Jul 23, 2001 @ 11:37am) «Rob Balder» another saxophone and pretends to do a solo to "fool" Peter. Peter comes over in the middle of the solo and pulls the mouthpiece off as the solo continues. (Jul 23, 2001 @ 11:38am) «Rob Balder» That bugged me for the dual reasons that it was the height of the onstage comedy and also showed how easily they could "fake it" onstage. (Jul 23, 2001 @ 11:48am) «Rob Balder» Davy had a guitar string break during one number and I swear it appeared to take him 8 bars to notice. (Jul 23, 2001 @ 11:49am) «Rob Balder» On the other hand, Paul Simon put on an incredible show. He had three drummers on oversized specialized full drumsets. (Jul 23, 2001 @ 11:51am) «Rob Balder» He's such a good showman...picked his setlist well and worked the energy of the crowd like the pro he is. His three encores were 50 minutes. (Jul 23, 2001 @ 11:53am) «goovie is married!» ok, my boss is an hour and a half late for our meeting... (Jul 23, 2001 @ 12:06pm) «lawrence» is this unusual? (Jul 23, 2001 @ 12:06pm) «goovie is married!» heehee. of course not. at least this time, she popped in beforehand to tell me she'd be "a little late" (Jul 23, 2001 @ 12:07pm) «lawrence» oh. that's... helpful. :) (Jul 23, 2001 @ 12:08pm) «goovie is married!» /me notes that christine lavin and julie gold also did a really good show this weekend, at the bottom line :) (Jul 23, 2001 @ 12:08pm) «lawrence» ooooh. (Jul 23, 2001 @ 12:09pm) «goovie is married!» yupyup. glowsticks and ribbons and new words to the "sex in the city" theme and gordon onstage singing "snag" both times :) (Jul 23, 2001 @ 12:11pm) «lawrence» hehehe (Jul 23, 2001 @ 12:12pm) «goovie is married!» the 10:30 meeting has now been rescheduled for 2pm. *sigh* (Jul 23, 2001 @ 12:24pm) «lawrence» wow. talk about disorganised. (Jul 23, 2001 @ 12:26pm) «goovie is married!» yeah, well...at least it gives me more time to get some stuff done. and i can go on aim :) (Jul 23, 2001 @ 12:26pm) «lawrence» hehe. true. (Jul 23, 2001 @ 12:27pm) «John J. Ryan» Falcon Ridge forecsat update: Sunny on Friday - Partly Cloudy Sat & Sun (Jul 23, 2001 @ 1:39pm) «John J. Ryan» Higs 77-82, Lows 55-59 (Jul 23, 2001 @ 1:39pm) «Chaya Papaya» *cheerrrsssss* (Jul 23, 2001 @ 1:39pm) «lawrence» sounds good... (Jul 23, 2001 @ 1:39pm) «goovie is married!» yay! (Jul 23, 2001 @ 1:41pm) «Misch» I'd prefer highs of around 75 personally, but I guess I'll just have to deal :-) (Jul 23, 2001 @ 1:42pm) «Misch» *sigh* (Jul 23, 2001 @ 1:51pm) «lawrence» but partly cloudy means that the highs might actually be accurate, unlike last year, where the highs *were* in the 80s, but the sun was unrelenting and it felt (Jul 23, 2001 @ 1:53pm) «lawrence» like 200. (Jul 23, 2001 @ 1:53pm) «Chaya Papaya» /me can't wait for frff! (Jul 23, 2001 @ 1:54pm) «lawrence» /me can't wait to see EFO this weekend. (Jul 23, 2001 @ 1:54pm) «Brian Dinsky» frff, WOO! (Jul 23, 2001 @ 1:56pm) «Brian Dinsky» yowza, this Dave Matthews cover of Phish's Waste is purty gud (Jul 23, 2001 @ 1:57pm) « Previous 100 entries | Next 100 entries »
