requires a username and password, which i don't mind signing up for, but there's no way that I can see to pass the login info or browser cookie to BitTorrent 3.3 on Linux.

Is there some l33t IE plugin BT client people are using in this situation?

I ended up downloading the file on my local box, scp'ing it off to the box that I run BT from, and then running BT on the local file.

Hrmm... I dunno. It works fine in Lynx which probably means that the client you're using is lame rather than IE being leet. ;) So you can download the file with Lynx and that gets around the problem. Likewise other Linux browsers should have no trouble downloading the .torrent file.

The forum is going to get updated in the next day or two to better deal with cookies, mainly cuz I don't like how it shows the session id in the URL even after logging in. Dunno if that will fix this issue for ya or not though...
