Do you know that is what the plot would be like? I was hoping it would focus on the Susan Calvin stories. That way they'd have some continuity. I love I Robot but it really is not suitable for films. The stories are really a collection of logic problems. Now the Robot Mystery Novels would make great films. I am about to kill myself because I can't remember R. Daniel Olivaw's Human Partner's name. Yay I got it. Elijiah Bailey right?

The fact that Susan Calvin will be in the movies is one of the only similarities between the book and the movie that I can find. Susan Calvin, a robopsychologist, is a character. Alfred Lanning is a character. U.S. Robots is the company that builds robots. The robots are imprinted with the Three Laws.

Beyond that, it seems like everything's different.

I just had the horrible thought of some sexy young actress playing Susan. I hate when they make a film out of one of my favorite books but then show it no respect.

I hate to bring your nightmares into reality...but Bridget Moynahan will be playing Susan Calvin.
