french toast : mix up an egg in a bowl with a fork. dip both sides of a piece of bread into it, not soaking it, but just coating the outside. place gently in a hot skillet, either sprayed with non-stick stuff like pam, or you can melt a little butter ito coat. with a spatula, press down on the top of the bread until the underside starts to look browned, then flip and repeat. when both sides are cooked, put in a plate, eat with butter, or syrup or whatever serves your fancy. i'm thinking if you got sick that mebbe all of the egg wasn't cooked?
