I'll wait to borrow it from one of you. No rush.
renita Back · 19 years ago
that's mine too.

OR i'll wait until a pdf file version appears :)

OR until my brother gets it, and then i'll visit my parents and read his copy overnight or something.

i'm looking forward to reading it, but i'm in no rush.

I'll wait for a real book not a pdf. I like to read in bed and on the train.

So where are all the offers to lend me the book when you are done?
lawrence · 19 years ago
please do not even joke about burning books, however innocently you may have intended it.

Please remove the giant stake from your posterior and proceed to club yourself with it. Thank you.

(THEN I'll burn it. hehehe)

This time, I have won. One book, three kids...yeah. There are rules, however. No dibs, and no reading in the night. It's in the kitchen in the morning. Whoever gets it first gets it. Even though I just woke up 15 minutes ago, and my brother has been up for hours, he has neglected to read it. :D score.

EDIT: I'm done now. I can't change my vote though, can I?

neal's picking it up right now. we skipped out on the festivites last night, since they were tragically lame in '03, and went to see charlie & the chocolate factory instead. very good choice, if i do say so myself. :)

Somebody do me a favor? Frum me when you know who dies. I want to know, but I could care less about reading the book. I just want to know who dies.

We all die eventually. Sorry to be the one to break it to you.

Some artists want to achieve immortality through their work. I want to achieve mine by not dying

In Canada it's page, like, 575. I checked it out at Zellers today.
Nik Chaikin · 19 years ago
How long is this one?
Gordondon son of Ethelred Back · 19 years ago
That's a personal question.
sheryls Back · 19 years ago
it starts at the beginning, and when it gets to the end, it stops.
goovie is married! Back · 19 years ago
and then if you go back to the beginning, it starts ALL OVER AGAIN.
K-Lyn Back · 19 years ago

When I get to the bottom
I go back to the top of the slide
Where I stop and turn
and I go for a ride
Till I get to the bottom and I see you again

Oh sorry, that last post gave me this earworm for some reason.

Just like Finnegan's Wake.

So am I the first person to compare Rawlings to Joyce?
goovie is married! Back · 19 years ago
hmm. i've never thought david rawlings and gillian welch were anything like joyce. then again, it's been a while since i've listened to my copy of time (the relevator).
A girl named Becca Back · 19 years ago
Not quite just like Finnegan's Wake - this book can actually be read.
