covers covers and more covers...converted into punk

Some of the songs they cover are quite interesting. From the phantom of the opera to elton john. It's great listening pleasure.

Colleen Anne McClanahan:

Your favorites, hardcore

You haven't heard a real cover until you've heard John Denver's "Country Roads" done in punk-style. It's all fun stuff. Great when you've had a hard day at work and just want something to clear away the cobwebs.

danced with Lazlo:

These guys are nuts!

You've gotta hear One Tin Soldier as these guys do it. Ha! Great stuff!

Cap'n:

Simon and Garfunkel could learn a thing or two.

Very cool to hear songs sped up and "punkified". Adding bass to any song improves it!

M.J. (truztno1):

You'll die laughing...

and if you do survive after listening to a song or two, you'll realize how unique these guys are. They cover pretty much everything from Barry Manilow to.... well... everything else, all done up in punk. First time I heard them, I had their cover of "Over the Rainbow" stuck in my head for the rest of the week... if you get a chance, *definately* check them out. They're a barrel and a half of pure entertainment.

m. badass:

everything old is new again

their cover of "my favorite things" contains profanity in the first eight bars and would make the von trapps die of mortification. i tip my hat to this band. their showtune covers are all candidates for my personal theme song. especially "the phantom of the opera" compressed into a minute and a half of sheer punk bliss. ahh.

Mike "Racer" Yoshioka:

What have they done to this song?!

And why do I like it so much? :) Ok, I checked out this group because of their name. Another great recommendation from the Fruhead folks. I don't have "Are a Drag" yet, but I can't wait.

Gatsby:

THIS IS COOL

The best punk cover band as far as I'm concerned. And they have a cool name!

Austin:

Really funny

Some say it's a horrible what they've done to the songs they cover...but no matter what it's at least funny, even if you don't enjoy their renditions as good punk rock.

It's a girl!:

Who else would do a punk cover of "The Rainbow Connection?"

Bruce Rose:

I'm almost glad they don't write their own music. If they had all that ability AND wrote their own stuff, the Earth would revolve around them.
Especially noteworthy are the songs that combine the music from one song with the lyrics from another. Their version of "I'll Be There" sounds like "Just What I Needed." "Elenor" sounds like "London Calling." Amazing!
