Reviews:

Shelly:

folk

kevin was at FRFF showcase then performed at russell wolff's cd release party in the budgie dome friday nite. very talented performer.

Patrick Cuonze:

A Chinese blues singer???? YES!! And very very good. Kevin is at his best in a small venue so you can see and feel the emotion in his music.

Josh Woodward:

Sweet sounds..

I've seen him once, a few years ago, and he left a big impression on me. I remember a lovely song called "The Great Wall" or something similar. I need to see him again -- check him out if you get a chance!

mickey:

funny, smart, nice guy. a collectible rarity.

again, was introduced to kevin's music at frff, where he showcased. i voted for him with glee, and so did my friends. his music is a gumbo of style, but all of it's good. ask for it by name.

lawrence:

great stuff. and a good live performance

I saw him open for Frvous at the Birchmere in May and thought he was amazing. He really had a way of keeping the audience's attention (and involvement) the whole show. a lot of his songs also send a good, strong message.

Rachel Beck:

I heard him playing under the budgie dome at FRFF and I can't stop listening to his album. Great blues singing and nice piano/guitar work.

Mike "Racer" Yoshioka:

I'm impressed :)

Upon the recommendations of this lovely crowd, I picked up a couple of Kevin's CD's. I was pleasantly impressed. Way to go everyone for a great suggestion :)

Queen Lisa of Darlington:

I did SO like him (LOL)!!!

As the mom whose daughter asked what a porn star was, I just had to add that we BOTH loved him and bought two CDs after the show.

Goob-O-Rama:

A nice guy...

I actually had the guy at my campsite at FRFF '99 playing songs for me and my couple of friends... and hung out with him later... and he gave me a CD. Can't miss his fun version of "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun"... extra track on "Along the Way", and even better in person. Plus he's pretty cute...

J. Andrew World:

I looked up his nose, once and said.....

"D'Oh!" and then he invited me up on stage after me and Ellen "D'Oh"ed at him! But hey that wasn't the highlight of the concert. He played beuitiful music that night about love, the loss of it, racism (stopping it, not spredding it) and being a pornstar! What can be better?

goovie is married!:

"mommy, what's a porn star?"

I've seen Kevin So 3 times now without even trying. Very talented, and able to balance a great sense of humor with a more serious side as well. (the quote is from the girl next to me during Kevin's Birchmere performance, opening for Fruvous. I don't think her mom came away liking Kevin as much as I did. :)
