Kate Leahy:

Adding my two cents thing . . .

My full review . . . I only recently became completely infatuated with this band, and my friends consider me fundamentally deprived for never having seen them live. Maybe with the new album they're doing right now that will be remedied sooner than later. But honestly. no one writes loneliness like Adam Duritz. Passion, honesty, vulnerability . . . I've never cried over an album like I did over August and Everything After. Mph. What a band.

Lauren Teson:

Rock, Blues, Pop combo

Counting Crows will bring you up when you need to be up and bring you down when you need to be down. The moods and emotions Adam Duritz expresses with his own recognizable vocal stylings will evoke emotion in you as well.

mickey:

a big chaw of angst to chew on.

and it won't rot your teeth. this is the best rainy-day band out there. and speaking of rain, there are seattle-gauge references to it in all their albums. my favorite is "august and everything after", and favorite songs include "sullivan street", "anna begins", "catapult", and "speedway".

frukid:

amazing...

My favortie is Recovering the Satallites...the first album is good too...If your collection is in need of something new go out and get some counting crows!!

K-Lyn:

August and Everything After is an album everyone should own!

elizabeth:

gotta add this--

I was at the show tonight at PNC Bank Arts Center and WOW!!!!! i've been to CC shows before... but MAN tonite the whole band was just so happy and into the whole show and energetic... get a live album or better yet go see them on this tour!!!

Kat Kunz:

beautiful, edgy, desperate folk-rock.

...and i'm not sure i have a whole lot more to say. i obviously like a lot of music, what with over 400 cds in my collection, but i keep coming back to the counting crows more often than many of my other groups. great driving music (esp. _this desert life_, which i found highly underrated), great thinking music, and there's nothing more fun than singing along loudly to "mr. jones" with a few of your favorite friends.

Marie-Claude:

Quintessential pop

Wonderful imagery, beautiful voice, quirky rhythms and lyrics. All three albums are must-haves.

J. Andrew World:

Many years ago Adam Duritz brought his folk/grunge/pop to the radio with his Band and a brilliant pop album to the radio. Although there following albums have been more pop and less folk, it still has there sence of pop and rock.

Plus my favorate artist, Dave McKean, did the cover of there 3rd studio album!

Counting Crows needs to bring back the mandolin and have many more great albums!

Gwen Evans:

There are certain people I'd like to hire to sing me to sleep each night. Adam Duritz is one of those people. His voice speaks volumes.
