Reviews:

Krista...:

angry chick (but with actual melodies!!)

Although Tegan and Sara are relatively little known (outside of canada, especially), they have wonderfully inspiring songs and lyrics, accompanied by their own amazing guitar playing. For all frvous fans, this is one act definitely worth checking out.

Shawna login infrequent:

Percussive guitar, in-your-face lyrics

This duo is awesome. Their debut CD "Under Feet Like Ours" is no longer being printed, but if you can find it, it's well worth it! Their second album, however, is available everywhere and it's called "This Business of Art". Their songs are very well written and they have a point to make. It's best to catch a live show! Their banter and interaction with each other adds to the performance--they are hilarious! Originally from Calgary, but they seem to be hanging around Toronto lately, Tegan and Sara are well worth checking out, I promise!

Mike "Racer" Yoshioka:

Great vocals, great music

I heard Sara on a short radio interview, and then they played the first track off of This Business of Art. I was mightily impressed. They reminded me of Christina Abbott, which is a very good thing :)

Damn Incubus is Good!:

They're twins

i saw these two open for joan osborn the other day; they're stage presence is kinda lacking but they have a great sound--- check out their cd "this buisness of art," its on vapor records

Kat Kunz:

whoop! totally dig these two...

...after fabulous canuck Saburah sent me a tape of _the business of art_. i've never really gotten into ani difranco (is that a sin to say in a place like this?), but tegan & sara strike me as everything i *do* like about ani, plus more rhythm and melodic punch. now, i just need to catch 'em live sometime...

Sab:

If you haven't yet heard a Tegan and Sara CD RUN to your local record store!! They're amazing lyrical talent combined with phenomenal guitar skills and funky folk, pop-rock sound, these girls are not to be missed. They're sound changes and gets better with every album they release but let me tell you, their live show is definitely the place to be. You get a mix of all their sounds as well as a taste of their hilarious stage banter.

I love 'em!

Bruce Rose:

Another one that I found late, but their prices on eBay should tell you how great they are. If It Was You is beyond belief.

Jerrilyh:
