Reviews:

mickey:

much better than drugs.

one of the reasons i got into fruvous (to meander a bit) was their outspoken political perspective. i like a band with fortitude. and ben harper has the same. as an added bonus, his music is soso good. it's way much good. it might even be *ohgod* wicked good. he runs any and all gamuts musically, especially on his latest (with the innocent criminals), "burn to shine". my favorite of his, though, is "fight for your mind".

Maddy The Hitman:

groovable

all of his stuff is worth much more than a listen, but *i* like his earlier stuff even more (however that is possible) than his new stuff......... live concerts rock

Mollie:

really wonderful

i'm not feeling very articulate at this moment but trust me, ben harper is good. stream in a clip from cdnow or something.

elizabeth:

i like ben harper a lot... especially "live from mars" because you get a taste of all of his stuff, except the song 'forever' isnt on it, which is his best... and 'waiting on an angel,' and 'walk away.' he knows how to do the soft folky songs and the rocking numbers like 'glory and consequence'

goovie is married!:

the main reason i miss my brothers :)

My brothers just went back to college a few weeks ago, and they took all their Ben Harper CDs with them. Whether it's the acoustic beauty of Welcome to the Cruel World or the rock of Burn to Shine (get in touch with your inner Skynyrd with that title track!), Ben Harper is a passionate musician who, according to one authority (ok, one of my brothers) might be the one to save popular music from itself.

Gwen Evans:

Ben Harper makes me feel like everything is going to be alright. I recommend "Fight for Your Mind."
