Give a short summary of this band ("Soft folk with a jazzy twist" for instance):
Comedy music at its' finest.

Reviews:

Cap'n:

Comedy music at its' finest.

These guys are weird. From their Canadian hit "Eskimo" (seen on MADTV), about the only gay eskimo, to "Pandas", a song declaring the solution to the panda problem is to kill them all. It's pure madness!

Daancing Queen:

Gone, but not forgotten...

I thought about recommending these guys, but figured it was just taunting, since they broke up a while ago (as far as I know). However, one member of the group, Sean Cullen, is currently touring around and can be spotted on the comedy channel doing material very similar to the days of when he was in Corky. If you can still find some tapes of theirs, check it out, they're pretty funny.

Gigi Omar:

THEY BROKE UP?!

I wasn't aware of that :( Anyway I saw them on MADTV and they are/were really good. Very Arrogant Wormsish.

Shelly Haefele:

I just have to vote here...

The gay eskimo song became this giant obsession with me and one of my friends, he threw it on one of his burned cds and played it everywhere, to everyone. Somehow I never got sick of it... it was still funny 50 times later!

Katherine, comedy junkie:

Hilariously absurd, disturbing - and that's good!

Marvellous, demented, twisted--and well performed--stuff. Rather like The Arrogant Worms, but weirder and possibly not appropriate for children. I would willingly pay for a copy of their Sketchcom (CBC Television) episodes. No one has mentioned the song "Americans" yet as a favourite, so I will. Do check out the stuff Sean Cullen is doing now, especially "Wood, Cheese and Children" seen on television and being released on CD as well, I think.

Katie:

YES!

I saw Sean Cullen open and midshow stuff for the Barenaked Circus this June....it RAWKED! Wood, Cheese and Children was the best song ever! I knew i heard his name before but I totally forgot he was Corky and the Juice Pigs! woo!

Novac:

These guys have surreal absurdity down pat!

Check out great songs, especially the P.S.A. sketches (Torsos for Tots) as well as Suzanne, their tribute to the stream-of-random-consciousness ramblings of Suzanne Vega.
