Kerri Chyka:

how could we forget this Canadian folkie?

I absolutley adore Joni's earlier folk music that can be found on "Clouds" and "Blue." The song "River" can make me teary-eyed in a second. I'm not as fond of her jazzy stuff that appeared in the 70's , but oh well. She still is a wonderful and influential artist.

A legend

mickey:

american spirits made her an alto.

if you hear her newer stuff, you can hear how decades of smoking have altered her voice. she's a gem in any case...i like "clouds" myself, but i also have a live album that has a great version of "a case of you" that i love.

Katharine:

Jonay. we love joni

they paved paradies and put up a parking lot with a pink hotel a boutique and a swinging hot spot! love her too much. our canadian hippie

Gordondon son of Ethelred:

The word Eclectic was created for Joni

What can you say about an artist like Joni. She started as a folkie, incorporated Jazz and her last album is standards about love. Whatever she tries she succeeds in. Don't try to figure her out just appreciate the genius. A hell of a guitarist too.

goovie is married!:

a goddess

From earnest folkie music to more sophisticated "adult contemporary" stuff to jazz standards and reworkings of her older songs, Joni is constantly evolving, creating beautiful, challenging music and poetry. Start with "Hits" and go from there.
