Reviews:

Kat Kunz:

quirky, funky pop.

as anyone who has ever listened to my radio show knows, the fact that lincoln broke up is one of the biggest tragedies of the late 90's. as i hear it, you can still find their record through amazon.com, and it's worth grabbing while you can. borderline- depressing lyrics set to janglypop melodies. i love this cd so much that i burned myself an extra copy, should anything ever happen to my original. :D

lawrence:

fun sound.... and two of their people are now playing with TMBG...

it's really a shame that some of their best material never got recorded except on boolegs. New Song, Connie Francis, Sore, Best Enemy, Shotgun Supreme.... all in limbo. The closest they have to a website is http://www.cybercomm.net/~tdk/lincoln.html

Colleen Anne McClanahan:

Catchy, catchy, catchy

Chris Temple, the lead singer, vaguely puts me in mind of Kermit the Frog, but I LOVE the cd. They were great live, too, and I also lament their breakup. Definitely buy their album.

m. badass:

sweet sissy pop (and sissy's a compliment in my book)

lincoln was amazing while they lasted. chris temple's voice is quirky (oh, what an overused adjective, but true!) and completely unique, as were his songs. and he couldn't have found a better band than the dans and gonzalo - some of the best players in the business and funny and quirky in their own right. go listen. if "basketball" doesn't make you bounce around the room, there is something seriously wrong with you.

amy newhouse:

relaxing

they opened up for they might be giants once and i thought they were good

J:

the best album to bring on long drives.

bootsy:

This is the greatest album of all-time. Strong statement, but it took me 2 years to admit it to myself. The only place that you can get the album is off of www.half.com, I believe. Do it... it will only be like 5 bucks. And then e-mail me when you do, because none of my friends have this album or appreciate it as much as they should! ([email protected])
