Reviews:

Anita Szostak:

100% anti-folk, a modern day Woody Guthrie

Adam has opened for Moxy in the past and puts on a fantastic show. If your easily offended then Adam's not for you but if you want to hear witty clever lyrics then he's your man. He banters between songs and sometime during songs too..

danced with Lazlo:

If you're Canadian, don't tell him :)

Great for singalongs in the cold Hillsdale summer late night/early morning... long after the kiddies are safe in their tents... vulgar as all hell but LOTS of fun!

jaye:

a sing-a-long you'll never forget . . .

providing in-jokes that are bound to offend those who weren't lucky enough to be there. i'm still trying to explain the lyrics to my mother =

goovie is married!:

Lots of fun -- my guitar still hasn't recovered! :)

Liz Page:

A songwriter with bite

Anyone who can rhyme orange - repeatedly - is alright with me. Fun shows, great songs mixed in with some silliness.

Angela Anuszewski:

"Celebrate your Lameness"

I accidentally blurted out this sentence in a pre- show conversation. Adam's shows are vulgar, disgusting, and damn fun! You will find yourself saying things in a singalong that you could never believe (Bite me being the least of which...)

bee:

adam makes me laugh. he made a joke about riding the short bus to julliard. for as "in you face" as his songs are, they can be quite catchy and they stick in your head for weeks.

J. Andrew World:

Offencive and yet enjoyable!

He bills himself as "Anti-Folk", he has offended everyone at one point or another, He is Adam Brodsky. I first heard of him threw my current girl freind...Just hours after we first met (I was playing the Djumbe in a hootnanny, I bought the Djumbe that day, trust me this story gets better) he showed up because the Hootnany was ding rather pittifully. They sang all the Moxy Frvous, they sang all the Nields songs, and the Indigo Girl songs were done, too. Adam Brodshy showed up and stopped them from singing "Little Bunny Foofoo" and "This land is our land" (They only knew the first verse) he was either going to "Put them out of there Missery", as he put it, or take over as there leader. He lead them in the crudest sing alongs you have ever heard. This song is a fun example of what he can do. I first heard this song in Northampton, the lesbian capitol of the east coast, where my girlfreind dragged me to see him. Desil Dyke is the song he performed as his closing number! He writes fun but crude songs. This is a story of having a crush of a lesbian, and in Adam Brodsky tradition, he is crude and offencive! Is this song wrong? Yes! Is it worth listening too? YES!

nate...:

Ooooo!!!! I just got to see Adam for the first time last night at fire and water, and boy was that a treat! :) I had alot of fun... and was quite amused. Definitely recommended. heheh

The less said the better.

the number says it all.

My ears will never be the same!

This guy is such a scuzzy old man! It's great! What was that? Oh yeah, everybody goes to folk festivals to take drugs and sleep with each other! Plus, he complimented me on my harmines... I was strangly flattered, considering I was harmonizing on the words "bite me" :)
