love this movie. the power of food meets the power of love. the book is better, but the movie is still fantastic! not one to watch with your grandmother, though... great date movie.

This movie is filled with passion, beauty, despair, and humor. Sort of like life- only multiplied by ten. The heroine has a rare gift, when she cooks, all her emotions go into the food, so all who eat her cooking feel the way she feels. Unable to express her love conventionally due to family constraints, she shares it through food. It makes you believe in magic while you're watching it and is one of the most unbelievably sensual films ever made.
