A Fruhead Wedding!

Just wanted to let you guys know that Pauley and I got married a few weeks ago on August 31st! Squee/Victoria likes to take credit for bringing us together, which is true, but if it weren't for our crazy Fruvous fandom and the PowerWall we might have never started chatting in the first place.
...
I still can't figure out how to upload an image to this thing.

We don't have the professional pics yet but I might post a few later. :)
Congrats you guys!!! Nice pics. Having married a fellow fruhead myself 6 1/2 years ago, I wish you guys all the best and joy and happiness in your new life together! Pics are great too...I love the cupcake cake ^_^
Well... what Fruvous did you give to the DJ to play during the reception?
It must have been Fell In Love. That would make it the best wedding ever. (Sorry, Gordon!)
Or If Only You Knew...that makes a great wedding song too ^_^

We unfortunately didn't think to include any Fruvous songs, it was mostly '80s stuff (lol), however we did attend a wedding two weeks earlier for one of Pauley's friends where they played King of Spain...

...and we had a game where guests had to recite a poem or sing a song with the word love in it to get us to kiss, one of my friends told me she -almost- got her table to sing Fell In Love. So close...
we used if only you knew in our wedding list. pauley and yvonne, you all look so beautiful =)

Thanks! :D I'm sad that it's over now, I want to plan a renewal of vows ceremony or something so I have another excuse to throw a big party with a big cake, heehee.
Speaking of, I love your cupcake towers! My sister's bf and I made my cake too. NEVER again do I want to touch that much butter-in fact, the cake assembly led to my one "Bridezilla" moment of the whole event. Let's just say there was hysterical sobbing and bribe attempts to get Ian to elope with me. ;-)

I TOTALLY understand about the cake assembly...I made a simple three tier cake and it took me two days (well, it didn't help that I don't own a stand mixer yet). I can't imagine trying to do that right before your wedding!
My sister's bf was a culinary student in the tech program for his last 2 years of high school, focusing on pastry so I had help of some experience. We did a red velvet cake with cherry filling and almond buttercream-all the components were tasty and fine on their own....it was just getting the fondant on and the tiers....*shudder*
I did the entire wedding myself, from the flower swags over the windows, to the centerpieces, candles...our dj was my i-pod.......so yeah, I'm insane and adding the cake to the to-do list seemed simple.
Agh, my first anniversary is Monday-did you save cupcakes for yours?

That sounds delicious!! I didn't save any cupcakes but I did save a leftover package of cupcake mix (yeah, I cheated, lol, I couldn't find a recipe I liked at the time) so I can whip up a fresh batch on our first anniversary. :)

It's Sprinkles red velvet, btw, I thought it was a neat coincidence that you did red velvet too, good choice!
Red velvet is mucho delicious-we've got good taste, lol!
Also, it matches our bridesmaids ;-)
