Discussion: What are you thankful for

It is hokey but name one thing you are thankful for. I'm thankful that when my mother died I had friends there for me.

Um I'm thankful for a rewarding job, great boyfirend, nice flat and the support of my family and friends. I had a rough time a bit ago and am happy to be out the other side so know I think I'm thankful for a lot - including having reasonably good health - being able to get out of bed rocks!

Democratic takeover of Congress. Best thing that's happened in the last six years.

You are so pathetically predictable.

I love when people in glass houses throw stones.

I love it when the pot calls the kettle black.
Gordondon son of Ethelred Back · 18 years ago
that's what I almost said. My problem with that expression is that I never see black kettles and not that many black pots.

My mom once asked me to complete this: "The squeaky wheel gets the..."

My responce was "the oil."

That being said, we really need some new metaphors. A lot of them seem to be out of date... "Never look a gift horse in the mouth" also comes to mind.

That's because you're a racist.

I'm thankful for a loving family and great friends - even if they do live all the way in Cincinati. I'm thankful that my husband and I are at long last home owners and definatly thankful for the beautiful (and low maintainance) home we now have.
