Average FruCon Expenses

   Discussion: Average FruCon Expenses

I've decided to go to FruCon next year if at all possible, and I thought to set aside a particular amount to pay for it would be a very good idea.  How much do you generally spend (plane tickets and/or gas money, hotels, food, etc.) for FruCon?

Gas from Ohio: $60
Hotel Room for Two, Split 2 nights with 5 total people: $75
Food, concerts, misc: $75
Watching video of Jian getting a makeover with good friends: priceless.

It only cost me about $200 CDN in spending money, and about $140 US in gas/hotel.

From Setac to Albany, my plane ticket is around $215. I think the entrance fee is around $100 if you buy your ticket at the door. I plan to bring alcohol, so that's another... $500 :^P Okay maybe not that much, probably around $150-200. So It'll cost me around $465 - $515, I'm planning on keeping it below $800 at least. That does include the purchase of a tent (hopefully I'll be able to borrow one though), and everything else I need to survive outdoors for 4 days.

Anyone have a copy of that video to trade? (I'll have to check the trading section) From experience of seeing stuff like that, those can be hillarious. I remember letting a group of 5 friends dye my hair last year. I bought a couple things of manic panic hair dye for halloween. Even after about an hour of cleaning our floor's bathroom, the janitor still was asking if there was a massacre the previous night. Sarah

I read somewhere that college students spend more every year on alcohol than they do on books, food and other beverages combined. Mixed drinks are also really expensive. At a wedding reception, a Long Island Iced Tea came to $7.50 (American) and it wasn't that big either. Sarah
