A Fruvous side project...opening for Sacred Reich?

Sorry I had to post this here in case you missed it on the NG. But someone was answering a post about Fruvous stating this:

"Moxy Fruvous is a band I had the misfortune of seeing open for Sacred Reich some years ago. The lead singer cut his stomach to ribbons with a razor blade and bled all over the stage. Now that's entertainment!����"

Did Jian do this?

According to the FRFF Program when Jian played there solo he was the lead singer/songwriter of Fruvous. I wonder who could have given them that idea :-)

well, name-wise it's an easy mistake to make - moxy vs moxy fruvous, both from toronto . . . assuming that the above link is the band in question.

I don't know - I was thinking the same thing. But I think I downloaded a song by them from their early days and it was something like REO speedwagon or Styx.

Of course I got it off napster and it was mislabelled. :)

Fruitopia! Wow! I didn't know they were THAT famous!

That was an excellent review of the band. I love the words they use, "They suck." I wonder if they write reviews for amazon.com...

Not nearly as good as "wretched", imo.

BTW - for those of you wondering, Moxy Fruvous *was* the billed and announced name of the band who opened for SR. I wonder now if they were just taking a shot at the real MF. I may never know who they really were and can only hope they stopped making 'music' - as well as hijacking another band's name. For that, I stand corrected.
