i thought i'd ask because i, er, didn't. and it seems as though everyone else did.so now i feel like a bitter cold-hearted old spinster. :D come on, there must be *someone* else who didn't cry...

renita Back · 20 years, 7 months ago
yeh. I did.

sorry.

if it makes you feel better I don't think it makes you a bitter cold-hearted spinster just because you didn't cry at a movie.

Naw, I actually, didn't, I don't think. (I probably got a little misty, which is very different in my book.) It's wierd, because I'm usually such an easy crier. Hell, I was crying at an episode of Coupling last night, for goodness sakes.

So, you're not alone. :)

I almost cried when I saw what they did to make an american version of coupling, but that doesn't quite count, does it? ;-)
ChrisChin is Getting Old Back · 20 years, 7 months ago
I was sobbing inside very muchly watching an episode of the American version of coupling.

Heh. Nate is a spinster *and* a hermit! :-)

How am I a spinster?

And, at any rate... better a spinster than a spinner.
ChrisChin is Getting Old · 20 years, 7 months ago
I cried during several points in the movie...and then cheered in glee during other parts...I was all over the place emotionally. That amazing movie exhausted me.
George E. Nowik · 20 years, 7 months ago

no tears. got that lump in my throat that i get during some parts of some movies (which generally takes the place of tears when i'm in public) but no tears.

more a matter of knowing that i'm a terrible crier. i can't do it without distrupting people around me. ask john ryan and nitsa what happens when i see a real tear-jerker. d: not only do i not know how to cry quietly, but i'm real, real ugly (even moreso than usual :D )

sheryls Back · 20 years, 7 months ago

dude, i cry ugly too. it's just one of those things.

i think most people do. just not in movies, because, well, most of the time, they're not really crying. just acting. you know? there's a look of real crying, and why should it be pretty?

sheryls Back · 20 years, 7 months ago

...on another note, i didn't cry at all during the movie, but i almost did when i stood up when it was over, since i'd forgotten how to walk :D

my brain loved the movie. my legs and ass did not. :D

George E. Nowik Back · 20 years, 7 months ago

my legs and ass were not friendly with me after the movie was over, either. i felt like i needed a shower after it was over. then again, it was passed 3 in the morning and the theater was a roast oven. but oh so worth it. :D
