Discussion: How do you eat an oreo cookie?
Kat Kunz · 21 years, 8 months ago
...because i don't *like* the cream. i like the cookies sans cream. unless it's those newfangled pb+choc / mint + choc kinds. those i just chomp into.

hi FHDC. *waves* miss you. love you. i'll come back more after i've graduated. xo--k.

heehee. one of the many things gordon and i bonded over long, long ago. :)
Paul D. Beasi · 21 years, 8 months ago
I just bite right into them.

Nutter Butters on the other hand I pry apart, eat the peanut butter off of each half, and then eat the halves.

Oh my god you are the devil! You're the Satan of sandwich cookies!
Jºnªthªn · 21 years, 8 months ago
How else are you going to unlock the sugary fatty goodness inside?!
Mollie Back · 21 years, 8 months ago
......the only kind of Satan to be, I say!
*joolee* · 21 years, 8 months ago
OK, so I have had parties based on this simple concept:

Tools: cup of whole milk, double stuffed oreos, fork

1- Stick fork into an oreo
2- Put oreo into milk whilst still on fork
3- Remove oreo from milk and place in mouth

Notice that your hands are clean (not milky or dirty) and the oreo gets full milk coverage. Huzzah!
sheryls Back · 21 years, 8 months ago
exactly! i'm the same way, kat!i hate that cream stuff!!!!!! the pb & chocolate ones are indeed different. i just eat those too, or dunk them in Silk. they have a new mint & chocolate one, but i havent tried it yet.

double-stuff oreos are the devil.
Josh Woodward Back · 21 years, 8 months ago
See, you're looking at it the wrong way. You should be buying triple-stuff oreos (do they still have those?) and saving the cream. When you decide to build a house one day, use all the cream to hold the bricks together. Martha Stewart's got nothing on me.
sheryls Back · 21 years, 8 months ago
hmm.....you do have a point there, josh. and you could just hairspray over the edges to keep out ants and rain.

but where do i store all this extra cream?!
Talcott Back · 21 years, 8 months ago
yup!
Nutter Butters are impossible to eat otherwise....

...if you try, the ghost of Little Debbie comes back and haunts your pantry!
nate... Back · 21 years, 8 months ago
Wow.... I just..... wow.
:D
Andrea Krause Back · 21 years, 8 months ago
I'm pretty much the same way. Though I'll still eat the cream...dunno what else to do with it...but it's definitely a "save the best for last" kind of thing with the clean, naked cookie halves at the end. Yum.

I like the PB half of the PB+choc ones but I don't like the choc half. I want a full-on peanut butter filling!
zil · 21 years, 8 months ago
I don't eat oreos anymore... *sniffle* .... evil evil diabetes.

but when I used to, screw off one side and do the same to another and then add the remaining side together to form a gi-normous creamy center... back in the day...
nate... Back · 21 years, 8 months ago
You're a weirdo, joooleeeeee!!!
:)
erica is so cold Back · 21 years, 8 months ago
ohhh i like that! i love my oreos to be as mushy as possible but i hate it when they break away or i forget them in the milk and they sink to the bottem of the glass...because i have to wait to eat it!
zil · 21 years, 8 months ago
gordoN, my intended, you insensitive clod!
Andrea Krause Back · 21 years, 8 months ago
See, I totally can't "get" the mushy oreos thing. I have this aversion to soggy/mushy bread-cake-cookie type things. Bread pudding? Ew. Soggy croutons on french onion soup? Ew. Letting cereal sit in the milk too long? Ew. The mush and sog just nauseate me. I clearly have issues. :) I DO love to dip my bread in sauces and such...my issues are more with the extended exposure thing. The sog doesn't set in when you're just dipping!
FrBill Back · 21 years, 8 months ago
I can stick 6 of them in my mouth. Does that warrant anything?
Gordondon son of Ethelred Back · 21 years, 8 months ago
I knew you'd like this one. We know the real way to eat oreos.
zil Back · 21 years, 8 months ago
what else can you stick in your mouth? ;-)
A girl named Becca Back · 21 years, 8 months ago
See...I think regular Oreos with real peanut butter on them are far better than the peanut butter/chocolate cream ones. Mmmmmmm...... :)
ellen, formerly evil Back · 21 years, 8 months ago
I'd like to note that the Newman's Own brand not only makes their own creme-filled O cookies, they also sell just the chocolate parts as cookies with no creme :) Also try Nabisco chocolate wafers. Tres yum :D
goovie is married! Back · 21 years, 8 months ago
oreos are the only food i can eat soggy -- i won't even put milk on my cereal because it just grosses me out. but oreo mush is like food of the gods to me. *shrug* i'm weird.
Drea · 21 years, 8 months ago
Definitely dunked in milk.. however, I keep the bag in the fridge - dunkable Oreos without the mush :) (Btw, there *is* a taste difference between Cdn and US Oreos - US ones taste like Cdn 25% less fat ones!)
Eri Back · 21 years, 8 months ago
We have better Oreos? COol.

I have a strange combination method of dunking and scraping and biting.. truly a (messy) sight to behold. ;)
Kevin - King of WiFi Back · 21 years, 8 months ago
or... you could scrape the cream off, store it, and then one day recreate the commercial where they cover the city of new york in goo!
Talcott Back · 21 years, 8 months ago
soggy oreos aren't an issue to me one way or another, but I'm glad to see there are other people out there who know that dry cereal reigns over all those mushy kinds "D

Besides, is anything worse than warm and wheaty milk?
Talcott · 21 years, 8 months ago
I always prefered Hydrox over Oreos growing up. They seem to have chainged their recipie now, but I remember the cookie being more crispy, and the chocolate much better.
*joolee* Back · 21 years, 8 months ago
Naight, when was the last time you glanced in a mirror...you wanna see weirdoness? CHeck that out!
