New member here from HOT Miami Florida! I am looking forward to meeting people here and having fun. I'm also looking forward to seeing They Might Be Giants three nights in a row at the end of the month! That's about it for now...feel free to ask me anything, I love chatting. Hope to hear from you soon!
Bender Back · 19 years, 11 months ago

hey, miamigirl.

do you know where the baptist hospital is?

K. D. Lurker · 19 years, 11 months ago
Sorry I didn't respond sooner, I forgot to check this board! Yes, I know where Baptist is...my elderly aunt stayed there for a little while. It's about a 25-30 minute drive from where I live.

Thanks for the note...nice to meet you :)

Kim, when you're replying to someone in a forum thread, use the reply button to the right of the box where their name and the subject line are displayed. It makes it easier to see who is talking to whom.

The hospital I was born in is gone. I don't think that was my fault.
A.J. Back · 19 years, 11 months ago
I've got you all beat. I was born in the same hospital as Fordy. :P
Nik Chaikin Back · 19 years, 11 months ago
I was born in Saint Vincent's, but i don't think even NY can trump Fordy
dirty life & times Back · 19 years, 11 months ago
i wasn't born in a hospital. so there.
A.J. Back · 19 years, 11 months ago
Heh. Neither was my daughter Melissa. She was born at 90 MPH in the front seat of a 1998 Dodge Neon. :)
Bender Back · 19 years, 11 months ago
I don't know whether to say "ow" or "ew"
dirty life & times Back · 19 years, 11 months ago
oh wow. i sure can't top that. mine was just a hippie-natural-birth-at-home thing.
Erato Back · 19 years, 11 months ago

I was born in a hospital that no longer exists. It's now part of a small Jesuit university.

Rimbo Back · 19 years, 11 months ago
Oh yeah?? I wan't born at all! I was - - made . . . in . . . a laboratory . . . yeah, that's it . . .
zil Back · 19 years, 11 months ago
freak.
Bender Back · 19 years, 11 months ago
I lied. I came in a packet of sea monkey eggs, and my parents thought I was kinda cute, so they didn't put me down the sink or mail me back.
sheryls Back · 19 years, 11 months ago

I was born in a Zoo!

well, Kalamazoo. Michigan.

Bronson Hospital. :D

Hello. I am also new here. Name's Fil, and I am the occasionally hinted at, not at all fictitious boyfriend of Smileyshiv who is touring your fine country with another fruhead whose logon name I do not recall presently.

I was born in a cross-fire hurricane, but it's all right now. In fact, you could probably say it was a gas.

Who are y'all? And how might I acquire a picture so as to stand out in this crowd of white-hot intellectual collossi and generally groovy sorts?
Josh Woodward Back · 19 years, 11 months ago
Hey Fil - welcome! We've heard tons about you, nice to have you online. :)
Andrea Krause Back · 19 years, 11 months ago
Not only heard, but we saw picture!! :)
eine tasse tee? Back · 19 years, 11 months ago

picture? lord, no!!!!! Sorry, hope you didn't sustain any permanent retinal damage. It sorta happens to people.

Which part of Siobhan's oddessy were you? Did Thing 1 and Thing 2 trash the place too much or meddle with your fish? I haven't been filled in on any of the detailshere atBase UK, I get the feeling they are being saved up for a seven hour anecdote-ladenslideshow. Fun.

Josh, I have heard very little about you (for the same reason as above) but it was all laudatory.

It seems a bit antisocial to continue discussing Shiv and Emilie on a newbie board so I'll takeit elsewhere. In the mean time; trees. Good or Bad?

Mamalissa! Back · 19 years, 11 months ago
In the mean time; trees. Good or Bad?

I'm gonna have to go with "Good" on this one, Fil.
Bender Back · 19 years, 11 months ago
trees are bad. they have scary curly wigs, bad scary makeup, big red scarynoses, and a lot of them can fit into one small scary car.
Ligeia Lester Back · 19 years, 11 months ago
no, silly! that's clowns!

and you're right. they ARE scary and bad.
ChrisChin is Getting Old Back · 19 years, 11 months ago
Defintely good, definitely, definitely good.
Shaggy · 19 years, 11 months ago

Hey everyone,

Hope all is well. Where are Furvous these days - there website seems like a bit eery like some one shut them down and locked away the key. Inform me please

Josh Woodward Back · 19 years, 11 months ago
We shut them down and locked away the key.

They resorted to cannibalism when we forgot to feed them back in 2002, which explains why you haven't heard much from Dave in the past few years.
Snow In Summer Back · 19 years, 11 months ago
is this what you let happen to Murray?! after i took such good care of him for all those years? i knew i should have brought him back to PA with me. i can't believe you let this happen.
*sigh* remind me to never leave my pets with you guys. ;-)
Shaggy · 19 years, 11 months ago
Oh bless you! Thanks for letting me know, I feel a bit like someone going to Australia looking for Yahoo serious, its over, i missed the party and all the dust has settled nevermind. Its still nice to be involved. From the sounds of it everyone here is nice and friendly. What other Canadian bands are cool that have a Furvous sound and ethos? I really want to come to Canada. Is it true that Canadians leave their front doors open like in Mike Moores 'Bowling for Columbine'?
Bender Back · 19 years, 11 months ago
no.
A.J. Back · 19 years, 11 months ago
Nothing Michael Moore shows is really true. He is right about many things, but he's hardly a bastion of objective truth.
lawrence Back · 19 years, 11 months ago
well, not exactly - the images and quotes he shows actually did happen, just not necessarily in the order or proximity he compiled them.
