Jian's "The First Six Songs"- lyrics?

Anyone know where I can find lyrics to Jian's "The First Six Songs?" I can't seem to find them anywhere!

I hope Jian appreciates the restraint I'm showing.

is there a reason you are showing restraint that i should know about? some sort of secret, unspoken rule?

Jian is a big fan of the reply button. Not so secret or unspoken, really.

Just that everyone around here seems to enjoy implying Jian's incompetence as a songwriter all the while frequenting a website devoted to a band he is 25% responsible for creating.

No offense, Gordon, I know you're not the usual culprit. Sometimes I just like to stir this stuff up and see who falls on which side of the line this time.

I noticed that...is there a reason for it? jian is my FAVORITE frulad. I see no reason for everyone to verbally smack him around. And still no one has answered my question...what is it with all you people and controversy?

Well, it's because he puts himself out there, really. He's loud (not necessarily in a singing sense, although I've heard a few off-mic versions of Gulf War Song where he's definitely trying to be louder than he needs to be) and visible, so he's just easier to pick on.

It's also very easy to make fun of the fact that he put out a 6 song EP almost four years ago and has yet to release a full length album.

but just because it is easy doesn't mean you have to do it. make fun of someone like...george bush. or someone else. i don't know. never mind, i guess. He does have a tv show though. that might slow production of a CD. Besides...he's pretty damn funny.

oh believe me, I make fun of You-Know-Who plenty. :)

but it's not just that it's easy. by virtue of the fact that he talks a lot and puts himself out there, he says a lot of things that makes a lot of us do double takes. he also gave off certain vibes or appearances while Fruvous were touring that a lot of people reference frequently.

I'll make fun of his EP because I don't particularly like it. I find it rather whiny and boring, and more than a little bit attention-whore-ish. ('scream if you think I'm right'? *gag*)

ok..fine. I dont really care. but the point is that i just asked a question...and it turned into some kind of jian-bashing session. Jeez. Is there no other outlet for that?
oh, and at least you do make fun of "you know who." that is a comfort at least. god I hate that man.

well.. .it varies widely, I think.

I mean, it's an ongoing joke to make fun of jian, I think... but some people do tend to have an actual problem with him.

Personally, I just think of it as good-natured ribbing, for the most part..... I mean, we all obviously appreciate the guy's talent while he was with fruvous.... he just seems to leave himself open to fun-poking in many other areas. :)

i think you are right...and maybe after a while you get kinda immune to it.

I think we all do... and to an extent, I think people start to forget that these are PEOPLE we make fun of.... not just inanimate characters ...... I'm as guilty of it as anyone.

I've said many things that, in hindsight, were totally inappropriate.

that's what I thought was the case. people get caught up in it and forget that these are real people they are talking about. Which is fine, as long as people like you can realize they were wrong.

yes, but in your "huh?" post, you're responding to gordon. so it would help if you used the reply button so that your post would *look* like a reply to gordon. it may seem like a silly thing for people to harp on, but it makes a big difference in being able to follow the conversations in the forums. thanks!

"jian-bashing session"? one person made one comment, implying that he might possibly have something derogatory to say about jian. that's hardly "jian-bashing," especially around these here parts. :)

Jian invites being made fun of in so many ways. That doesn't mean we don't like him. There is an ongoing debate about what is and is not appropriate teasing, and where the line is, but generally it is pretty good natured.

Also as far as the making fun of real people thing goes, I think mostly what is made fun of is the "character" as seen on stage rather than the real person. Jian is the one who's character and personality tend to get mixed up the most, so he's the one who sometimes seems to get a harsh treatment, but you know, he's a big boy. I think he can take it. :)

And yes, Jian is fun to make fun of, but since most of us love the band, we even love the crazy characters that make us do doubletakes. Honestly, we're all just jealous of the nose. We all want a schnoz that sexy and beaklike.
