this never happens!!
lawrence · 19 years, 2 months ago
I'll have mini-reese's cups instead.
Gordondon son of Ethelred Back · 19 years, 2 months ago
I second the motion. Peanut Butter and chocolate are the two best tastes and they work even better together.

Of the choices I picked the dark chocolate specials. When I volunteer at FUV they often put out a bowl of miniatures. I always grab the specials as soon as they are brought out.
Talcott Back · 19 years, 2 months ago
Well, Mr. Goodbar is at least peanuts and chocolate. It's not a peanut butter cup, but it's not too bad.

I voted for special dark too, but I hate to see boring milk chocolate and boring milk chocolate with rice overshadowing my second favorite ;-)

Mmmmm.
Word.
Chocolate and peanut butter. It's just so good.
Nik Chaikin · 19 years, 2 months ago
but Mr. Goober is a close second.
Prinut Back · 19 years, 2 months ago
Mmmm...special dark. Definitely my favorite.
Gordondon son of Ethelred Back · 19 years, 2 months ago
Sorry, the special darks are MINE!!!

Sharing is well and fine but not when it comes to chocolate.
nate... · 19 years, 2 months ago
hershey's makes AWFUL chocolate... but... that is the only one they come close to making well.

sheryls Back · 19 years, 2 months ago

i'm with you on that.

i voted for special dark too.

but give me ritter sport, milka, cadbury (uk), or even godiva anyday :D

Andrea Krause · 19 years, 2 months ago
Throw any dark chocolate my way and I'm happy. I only will eat milk chocolate if it's got stuff in it. Like, I like Mr. Goodbar because the peanuts break up the too-sweet monotony of the milk chocolate.

But dark is where it's at.
Shelly · 19 years, 2 months ago
like, hi ;)
ChrisChin is Getting Old · 19 years, 2 months ago
While I do love dark chocolate, I prefer the peanut and milk chocolatey goodness of Mr. Goodbar out of all the miniatures. The Special Dark is alright, but there are definitely much better darks out there.
Andrea Krause Back · 19 years, 2 months ago
Oh definitely, much better darks out there. But I still can't help but go for it first. Especially since they seem to put the fewest of them in the bag so you gotta fight for 'em with others. :)
sheryls Back · 19 years, 2 months ago

although, kids tend to leave the special darks and when you come back there's always just a pile of special darks left. so, the moral of the story is, pilfer the kid's miniatures.

..or something.

special dark? krackel? mr. goodbar? I'VE GOT THOSE!

what a funny, crazy man.
Andrea Krause · 19 years, 2 months ago
I can't believe Krackle is getting so many votes but no one's really singing its praises. Poor secret Krackle mistress.
Songbill Back · 19 years, 2 months ago
Krackle rocks.

So what if it's a knock-off of Nestle Crunch (actually I really don't know which one came first.)
Gordondon son of Ethelred Back · 19 years, 2 months ago
I think the crunch came first. I don't think they had krackle when I was a very little kid. I remember discovering it years after I discovered crunch.
Andrea Krause Back · 19 years, 2 months ago

And Gordon's older than dirt so he should know! :)

lawrence · 19 years, 2 months ago
I know, I know, I'm the only person in the world who thinks dark chocolate is gross and disgusting.
Andrea Krause Back · 19 years, 2 months ago
Nah you're just on delayed growth. :) Just kidding...but it does seem to be with folks I know that the older they get the more they prefer dark chocolate. Milk chocolate appeals to a younger palate. Of course that's just random unscientific observation so it's probably very skewed. :)
Talcott Back · 19 years, 2 months ago
Yeah, I think that's fairly true. I mean, there are some adults who do like milk chocolate better, but around age 20, the majority opinion seems to shift.

The same seems to go for Pepsi vs. Coke. Coke seems to apeal more to the older folks.

In both cases, I think it has to do with the amount of sugar.
nate... Back · 19 years, 2 months ago
Yeah, I was never THAT big on sweets even as a kid... but now I have a negative interest in them.

lawrence Back · 19 years, 2 months ago
more for me, then. :)
Nik Chaikin Back · 19 years, 2 months ago
Hmmm, my mom prefers both milk chocolate and pepsi, it would seem there is a relationship.
Mamalissa! Back · 19 years, 2 months ago
that's number of sug... oh... nevermind.

duuuuude! sweeeet!
A girl named Becca Back · 19 years, 2 months ago
I agree with that as a rule, but I have always preferred Coke and milk chocolate.*

I'm such an enigma.

[*I love dark chocolate, too, but given the choice between good milk chocolate and good dark chocolate, I'll eat the milk first. Or maybe save the best for last. But...you get the idea. Pepsi, on the other hand, I will only drink if there's no Coke available and I really need some caffeine.]
Josh Woodward Back · 19 years, 2 months ago
You need to try Cluizel's Noir Infini chocolate, which is 99% cocoa. If only so I can watch you pucker and spit it out. ;-)
