Green is tied for the lead, that won't keep up.

Nik Chaikin · 20 years, 7 months ago
blue/ green, they fluctuate.
stealthlori · 20 years, 7 months ago
yep. they go from blueish to pale grey depending on what i'm wearing.
meh · 20 years, 7 months ago
I voted blue, because I'm usually in that range. Tend from deep obviously blue, to a very grey gunmental color depending on surroundings and mood.
nate... · 20 years, 7 months ago
not based on anything.... they were pure blue as a kid... then when I reached teen years... they became more grey and green....

These days... they tend to vary based on..... well, nothing in particular.....

not enough of one or the other to be called anything other than hazel. :)
ChrisChin is Getting Old · 20 years, 7 months ago
Brown, definitely Brown...always has been, and seems like it always will be.That's what you tend to get withthe Asian genes.
Kat Kunz · 20 years, 7 months ago
...the hazel. rrrawr. though some days they look more brown and less green (the mix of which is what makes it hazel, for the curious).
Starfox · 20 years, 7 months ago
Steel grey. Yup.
Annika · 20 years, 7 months ago
It all depends. I've noticed my eyes are very green when I'm really sad, or really happy, or if I'm wearing something green or red. Mostly the rest of the time they are either blue or grey.

Don't you mean what color are your eyes?
nate... Back · 20 years, 7 months ago
glad someone other than me noticed the spelling mistake.
;)

Are we getting militant again regarding the difference between American spelling and English language? Next step may be to demarcate between "Freedom, Democracy and the American Way of Life" on one hand and "Evil" on the other. Personally, I don't mind a bit of diversity, even if more speakers of English prefer "colour" to "color."

Love the coda to the fourth, sorry, forth option. Kept running into this window dresser some years ago. She was just just slightly cross eyed, which gave her that ... never mind. Anyway, I couldn't work the colour, sorry, color of her eyes at all. They looked an indefinable mungyness of brown, blue, green, grey and various shades in between. One day I asked her what she would describe them as: Hazel was the answer.
Talcott · 20 years, 7 months ago
Mine are still kinda blue as a base color, but I think they live somewhere in gray land most of the time. I've been told they even stretch to green once in a while.
I also have a thin band of yellow right around the pupil (and a thick blue band outside the iris, for those keeping score for some reason) I don't think you can notice it from much of a distance, but it's there.
I like my eyes, now if only they would learn to work right by themselves ;-)
Andrea Krause Back · 20 years, 7 months ago
Yup. Mine are brown. Dark brown. I've always desperately wanted blue eyes.
A girl named Becca · 20 years, 7 months ago
Green around the pupil, brown on the outside. Plus a ring of blue if I have my contacts in.
sheryls Back · 20 years, 7 months ago

same here! Mine go from grey to blue to green, also depending on what i'm wearing :)

Mamalissa! Back · 20 years, 7 months ago
That's me too - the ratio of green to brown varies with mood and environment (greenest when I've been swimming in chlorinated water), but both rings are always there.
Mamalissa! Back · 20 years, 7 months ago
"... and various shades in between."

Don't you mean "varios?"
nate... Back · 20 years, 7 months ago
Hehehe.
Good post.
zil · 20 years, 7 months ago

Eri · 20 years, 7 months ago
Pretty gray, but they'll change color to blue, violet, teal, or emerald.
Eri Back · 20 years, 7 months ago
crying and my mood affect the color of my eyes, too. they turn a bright, bright emerald green when I cry.
George E. Nowik Back · 20 years, 7 months ago

likewise! except i'm not sure what causes them to shift to grey or blue ... i dont know if it's what i'm wearing or mood or weather or what, but yup!

(whicked icon, sheryls :D )

mine are hazel...sometimes very green, sometimes very brown, sometimes in between. depends on what i'm wearing and how i'm feeling.
Beth · 20 years, 7 months ago

My eyes are a very light blue.

All of this talk of eye color changing when you cry makes me feel mildly tempted to go make myself cry and look in the mirror to see if there's a change. {g}

Yvonne Back · 20 years, 7 months ago

I am Canadian. My eyes glow red. Just like my hair.

(I'm KIDDING.) :D

no one · 20 years, 7 months ago
Probably hazel then. (Refer to note in poll options.)
no one Back · 20 years, 7 months ago
Sorry. Of corse! I'm just not yong enogh to easily learn new tricks any moure.
nate... · 20 years, 7 months ago
I always thought "hazel" was just another word for "brown".
no one Back · 20 years, 7 months ago
I did too. Hazel evoked the kind of brown of hazel nuts. Sheridan, and now Jaci, made me realize the errors of my perception.
